1. Take the time to brow map
Make time to brow map on your client. If your drawing is not good, or is not correct, then you will also follow the wrong lines. Want to find out how you can draw well and crisply in 3 different ways? View the IZZI Beauty online courses.
2. Place the right pigment colour
A lot goes into pigmenting. Especially what kind of skin type someone has, and what will suit the client. Want to learn more about pigments? Check out our online training courses.
3. Outline the lower line of the eyebrow crisply and further towards the nose
If you pull the lower line of the eyebrow crisply forwards (towards the nose) you can create a beautiful fading by only colouring in the front.

4. Outline the eyebrow with a white base before you start
Once you have drawn the eyebrow it is always wise to use a white base to outline the outline further. This sounds odd, but works very well. You create a boundary of where the lines stop. This way you can never start pigmenting a crooked shape.
5. With your machine, make the fading longer than where your stop line is
You always draw a stop line at the front of the eyebrows. That way you know where your fading should end. But if you pull the fading forwards extremely lightly and without pressure you will see that your fading becomes even more beautiful.
6. Take your time to pigment
Working in a rush is never good, but in the pigmentation profession even less so. Every eyebrow deserves the same kind of attention. The more rushed you work, the less attractive the result becomes. There are well-known brow artists from America who take as much as 4 hours to create those beautiful powder brow results.
7. Try different brands of pigment
The one pigment you are recommended from your course may work nicely, but perhaps there are countless other brands that work even better for you. So try them out!

8. Try to choose a deep but warm colour for your client
We still find it most beautiful when powder brows are truly powdery. And yet this can be seen most clearly when someone has a dark brown eyebrow colour. Pixels are then clearly visible! Especially on a light or cool skin.

9. Do not place permanent make-up over old PMU
It can happen that someone wants powder brows so badly, but still has old permanent make-up on. The result you have to place over old PMU (incorrect shape + often a grey or red undertone) is not comparable to when you place powder brows on clean skin.
10. Make the ombre tail darker than the front
The best ombre brows have a darker tail that flows into lighter. At the fading side you also see more and more pixels, and the tail is more filled in with pixels. This gives an even more beautiful effect with fading.
