Lip Blush Beginner Course programme

Day 1 — Online preparation (10 hours, flexible to schedule): an introduction to permanent make-up and the Lip Blush technique; anatomy of the skin and lips and how these influence the pigmentation; in-depth colour theory on choosing and combining shades; lip mapping, shaping and design including practical demonstrations; theory on different needles and their applications; hygiene and GGD inspection; the healing process and aftercare of the skin; and salon management with marketing tips.

Day 2 — Theory and basic skills on location (6 hours). Morning (9:30 – 12:00): information about permanent make-up, deepening of the online knowledge and lip pigmentation theory plus an interactive session on hygiene and safety standards, applying colour and pigment theory to practical examples, and practical guidelines for GGD certification and salon setup. Afternoon (12:30 – 15:30): introduction to using the PMU machine from settings to operation, exercises in lip mapping and drawing contours with personal feedback, and practical tips to start your own salon and attract clients.

Day 3 — Practical training on location (6 hours). Morning (9:30 – 12:00): hands-on practice on latex to perfect techniques such as outlines and pixels, with a focus on symmetry and precision. Afternoon (12:30 – 15:30): in-depth training in advanced techniques such as Soft Lips, Full Lips and Ombré Lips, with feedback from trainers to optimise your progress.

Day 4 — Treating a model and certification (6 hours). Morning (9:30 – 12:00): preparing the workspace in line with the hygiene guidelines, and intake and preparation of a live model for a full Lip Blush treatment. Afternoon (12:30 – 15:30): performing the treatment under supervision while applying all the techniques you have learned, before & after photography for your portfolio, and the certificate presentation as your official start as a PMU specialist.

Day 5 — Perform a touch-up treatment on location within 6-8 weeks after the exam. Day 6 — after 6 months an intensive return day with the opportunity to ask questions, review current results through photos and carry out latex work.

General information

Course duration: 10 hours of online lessons via the IZZI Online Academy, 3 consecutive days of practical training on location amounting to 12 hours of intensive guidance, and a homework assignment in which you treat 5 models in your own salon (20 hours). The total study time comes to 46 hours.

Prior training: no prior training or diploma is needed to start. The Lip Blush Beginner Course is accessible to anyone who wants to become a PMU specialist.

Conditions: PMU stylist is a self-employed profession, and there are no special government requirements to take part. All our courses are subject to the General Terms and Conditions of Opleiding IZZI Beauty BV, including our Privacy Statement and Complaints Procedure.

What the 6-day Lip Blush course looks like

No diplomas or prior knowledge are required to follow this course.

Do you want to learn to work professionally with Lip Blush and lip pigmentation? Our intensive 6-day Lip Blush beginner course offers everything you need to start professionally and treat your own clients with confidence. From extensive theory and colour theory to lip pigmentation, practical training and personal guidance: a professional starter kit and your own PMU machine are included to start your career as a PMU Artist.

• Day 1 – Online preparation: get access to the IZZI Online Academy with more than 100 topics, extensive videos and demonstrations. You keep lifelong access to the Academy.
• Days 2, 3 and 4 – Practical training on location: three consecutive intensive days in which theory, colour knowledge, lip mapping, different Lip Blush techniques and practice come together, including your exam treatment on a real model.
• Day 5 – Touch-up training day: within 6-8 weeks after your exam you carry out a touch-up treatment on location and learn how to assess healed results and perfect them where necessary.
• Day 6 – Intensive return day: after 6 months you come back to discuss your progress and results, ask questions, review photos of your work and further perfect your technique on latex.
