Combi Brows Beginner Course programme

Day 1 — Online preparation (10 hours) in the IZZI Online Academy, at your own pace: the basics of permanent make-up and the combi brows technique, anatomy of the skin and how PMU works, colour and pigment theory, brow mapping and design with precision, PMU hygiene guidelines and the requirements of the GGD inspection, and marketing tips for a flying start.

Day 2 — Theory & basic skills on location (6 hours). Morning (9:30 – 12:00): deeper study of hygiene and the GGD inspection process, colour theory and pigment combinations, and an introduction to the PMU machine with an explanation of the starter kit. Afternoon (12:30 – 15:30): brow mapping and shaping on paper and latex, demonstration of the hairstrokes and powder brow technique, and tips for starting up your own salon.

Day 3 — Practical training on location (6 hours). Morning (9:30 – 12:00): practising on latex with brow outlines, hairstrokes and subtle shadows, and operating the PMU machine correctly for precise lines. Afternoon (12:30 – 15:30): applying brow mapping on a live face, refining technique with feedback from the trainer, and preparing for the model treatment.

Day 4 — Treatment on a live model (6 hours). Morning (9:30 – 12:00): setting up the workspace in line with the hygiene protocols, a consultation (intake) and discussing the eyebrow shape, and carrying out the full treatment — brow mapping and precision design, colour selection and pigment preparation, and the full application of the combi brows technique. Afternoon (12:30 – 15:30): before/after photography for your portfolio, evaluation of the treatment with personal feedback, and the presentation of the certificate.

After the course: unlimited access to the Online Academy, ongoing support, the option to purchase the wireless IZZI PMU machine, a discount on your first order at Laliqa and a discount on salon treatments.

General information

Course duration: 20 hours of online preparation via the Academy, 3 days of intensive training on location (9:30 – 15:30) amounting to 18 hours, and homework in which you treat 5 models (40 hours). The total study time therefore comes to 78 hours.

Prior training: no prior training or diploma is required for this course. PMU specialist is a self-employed profession in the Netherlands.

No prior training or diploma is required to take part in the Combi Brows Beginner Course. This course is open to anyone who wants to become a PMU specialist.
