Fineline Tattoo Masterclass

Where is the focus of this masterclass?

The masterclass focuses on designing and placing refined, larger fineline tattoos, applying shadow effects, colour techniques, pixel work and shading, and sharpening your precision and your own artistic style.

What makes this masterclass unique: you get exclusive access to a private feedback group in which you upload your work and ask questions, and you place a master fineline tattoo on a live model under personal guidance. Participation requires proof of a completed basic fineline course, with us or with another provider.

Day 1: Online preparation (5 hours)

You follow the online preparation via the IZZI Online Academy. You learn the design principles of master fineline and what sets it apart from basic work, creating designs and printing stencils, advanced colour theory and pigment application, needle choice for specific techniques, and professional tips from the masters themselves.

Day 2: Practical day on location (6 hours)

In the morning there is an interactive theory discussion in which we go into the online material. You cover advanced colour application for complex designs, line depth and precision techniques, and the methods specific to master fineline. Then you practise hands-on on latex with guidance from the trainers: drawing lines, applying shadow effects and shading.

In the afternoon you prepare your model and discuss the design, which you adapt to the client's wishes and anatomy. You set up your workspace in line with the hygiene standards and then, under the supervision of the trainers, place a detailed master fineline tattoo, with attention to the client's comfort and communication.

The day ends with individual feedback from the trainers, recommendations for your further professional development and the official certificate presentation.

General information

Time investment: 5 hours of online preparation, one practical day on location of 6 hours, and homework in which you treat 5 models (10 hours). The total study time comes to 21 hours.

Prior training: you need a completed basic fineline course, taken internally or externally. Before the masterclass you send a photo of your certificate for confirmation.
