How is a tattoo removed by laser?

How do you prepare for a tattoo laser treatment?
Below we discuss the steps you are best to follow once you have scheduled a laser treatment. We ask you to adhere very strictly to the rules below, as they negatively affect how the laser works.
1 week before the treatment you may no longer use a tanning bed. It is also better not to have peels or microneedling if the tattoo is on the face. Within 24 hours before the treatment it is very important that you do not take any alcohol, painkillers, drugs or blood-thinning medication. Caffeine may not be consumed up to 4 hours before the treatment; caffeine includes coffee, tea (theine), energy drinks and soft drinks such as cola.
- 1 week beforehand: no tanning bed
- 1 week beforehand: no peels or microneedling (for a tattoo on the face)
- 24 hours beforehand: no alcohol, painkillers, drugs or blood-thinning medication
- 4 hours beforehand: no caffeine (coffee, tea, energy and soft drinks)
