What Is Micro Scalp Pigmentation?
MHP, or the micropigmentation of the scalp, is a treatment in which pigmentation is applied to the scalp to realistically mimic the natural look of real hair. Micro scalp pigmentation is suitable for both men and women with thinning hair.
Of course, not many women choose scalp pigmentation over the entire head, but this is also possible. Women more often choose scalp pigmentation to fill in small areas of the scalp, with the illusion that there is more hair on somewhat balder spots. How Long Does A Treatment Take?
A treatment takes an average of around 3 to 4 hours, depending on the area you have treated. We draw up a treatment plan together with you, so you know how many sessions are needed to achieve the desired result.
We often schedule 2 to 3 sessions to create a natural effect. We build up the pixels further each time. There is at least about 2 weeks between each session.
How Long Does Scalp Pigmentation Last?
Micro scalp pigmentation remains visible for about 4 to 5 years. We do recommend having a touch-up treatment after 1.5 to 2 years to maintain a crisp shape and beautiful colour. Aftercare is very important with this treatment for retention of the pigment; we therefore always advise you to follow the aftercare very strictly.
The longevity also depends on sun damage and the use of scrubs on your skin. Sun damage in particular leads to a strong loss of pigment in the micro scalp pigmentation. However, the pixels fade gradually, so no bald patches suddenly become visible when pigment is lost.
What Does A Micro Scalp Pigmentation Treatment Cost?
A treatment starts from €450.00 up to €2150 for a whole head. A touch-up treatment is included in the price and is carried out after 2 weeks. This puts the finishing touches in place after the recovery process of the first treatment. After a touch-up treatment, the pigment will fade by about 40%.
Unfortunately, we do not offer the option of payment instalments. You always pay for a treatment in advance; on the day of the treatment, the amount must be settled before the treatment begins.
MHP for women
There are various methods for placing hair pigmentation. These days you can go in any direction, so women can also have this placed. Do you suffer from a parting that keeps getting wider? Or a beginning receding hairline as a woman, where some hair is still visible? Then we can create a fuller look by placing small pixels through the natural hairs.
Micro scalp pigmentation for women is placed with the same technique, only we use a different fill than with men. We look at what suits you. A consultation is therefore always important before we schedule a treatment.
What is the preparation for a Micro Scalp Pigmentation treatment?
Good preparation ensures an optimal and long-lasting result. Below are the main points of attention in the week before your treatment:

1 week before the treatment you may no longer use a sunbed or have your hair dyed.
2 days before the treatment takes place, the hair must be shaved or trimmed to 1/2 mm. Only then can we carry out the treatment. If the hair is longer, we unfortunately have to reschedule the appointment.
It is very important that you do not take alcohol, painkillers, drugs or blood-thinning medication within 24 hours before the treatment. Caffeine may also not be consumed up to 4 hours before the treatment. Caffeine includes: coffee, tea (theine), energy drinks and soft drinks such as cola.
We ask you to adhere very strictly to the rules above, because they can affect the treatment and the result.
