What is Microblading?
Microblading is a form of semi-permanent make-up carried out with a manual blade. This blade makes small cuts in the skin into which pigment is applied. The aim is to mimic hairs and thus create a natural look. Despite the promises of microblading, this technique comes with many risks. This is also the reason why we do not support this treatment and advise our clients to choose the right treatment to still get perfect eyebrows!
1. Risk of scars
Microblading requires making small cuts in the skin. If these are placed too deep, this can lead to permanent scars. Even experienced professionals run this risk, especially with clients who have sensitive or thin skin. These scars cannot be easily corrected, not even with other permanent make-up techniques.
2. Not suitable for every skin
Microblading is only suitable for people with normal or dry skin. Do you have oily skin, mature skin or sensitive skin? Then microblading can fade quickly, look unnatural or cause problems during the healing process.
3. Limited repeatability
Microblading can often only be carried out once or twice in your life. Every time you have the skin cut again, you increase the risk of developing scars and skin damage. This means that the technique is not suitable for long-term maintenance.
4. Pain and discomfort
The microblading technique involves cutting into the skin, which can be painful, both during the treatment and during the healing process. Many clients also report that the skin needs a long time to recover, especially when the cuts are made deeper.
5. Fading and pigment change
